About

Who is Valued People at Work, LLC (VPW)

A VP has everything to do with how an individual adds value to themselves so that they can be increasingly valuable to those around them. "Value" is the professional and personal ability an individual incorporates into their tool belt that enables them to become the best, authentic version of themselves and to develop into exceptional leaders as they serve others.

  • VPs are organizational leaders who want to strengthen their abilities and develop increased connection with their teams.
  • VPs are contributing employees who add strength to their organization while serving the needs of their clients/customers.
  • VPs are entrepreneurs or non-profit organization leaders who seek ways to add significance in the lives of others and by doing so experience fulfillment and purpose.

VPW services are structured to serve individuals who are in a helping profession or entrepreneurs whose primary services cater to fulfilling the needs of others. Professions may include therapist, social workers, psychologists, non-profit organizational leaders, healthcare workers, and others whose primary role is to provide direct care to those in need.

Founder - Valued People at Work, LLC

Shakina N. Walker, LPC-S, MBA

  • Hello. My name is Shakina. I'm a wife, mom, and entrepreneur. As a coach and therapist, I love to witness people operating with excellence in their God-given purpose. Over the years, I've worked with a diverse group of clients and my passion is working with helping professionals. As a helping professional myself, I understand how we can easily put the needs of others before our own in the work setting and home life. Unfortunately, this does not serve us well. Self-neglect can result in poor health, feelings of increased anxiety, overwhelmed, or unfulfilled in doing the things we once loved (serving others). I would be honored and privileged to have the opportunity to partner with you so you can experience joy, not just fleeting happiness, as you live out your purpose.
